Creative Lighting Project

In this final assignment, my peers and I were tasked with being creative with the lights and showcasing our attitude, facial expressions, and cache.

This is my model Chantelle with split lighting.

This is Chantelle facing the camera using broad lighting.

This is Chantelle with the fun face lighting.
This is Chantelle in Rembrandt lighting or 45-degree lighting.

This is a view of Chantelle in flat frontal lighting.

I had a lot of fun editing and shooting this final project of the semester. I learned about different lighting styles such as butterfly, Rembrandt, and Frontal lighting. I also learned how to do each style which I will definitely be using going forward in this field.

Three Point Lighting Project

In this assignment, my professor tasked us with a three-point lighting project. We had to use a key light, fill light, and back light on our subject.

This is a wide shot of the 3-point lighting set up.

I had fun with this assignment and learned a lot. One thing I learned was how to properly use a key, fill, and back light to make the subject appear more aesthetic and natural in photos. I feel like me learning the basics now will only help me in the future while I'm in this field.

Reflector Disk Project

In this assignment, we were tasked with using a reflector dish to capture the sunlight at different angles of our classmates and camera equipment.

I learned a lot while completing this assignment. One thing I learned was how to use a reflector disk to make the sun to where you want it to or use it to your advantage. Had fun with the assignment and my classmates.

Candy Corn Feature Package

This was definitely my favorite assignment this semester by far!! I had so much fun interviewing the students of SCSU and asking them about candy corn, homecoming, and their favorite Halloween candy. I had fun editing and laughing at all the footage from this assignment.

One thing I learned while doing this assignment was that most of the students did NOT like candy corn lol. It was fun to interact with my peers, to hear their responses, and eat candy corn with them. It was great to see the students in a relaxed setting and having fun with the questions asked.

Basic TV Production PSA

This assignment was definitely in my top 3 of the semester, I had a lot of fun and got a chance to put my own personal touch on it. Also, I enjoyed spreading awareness about the Army because I take pride in my branch and really would like to see more young soldiers joining.

In doing this assignment, I learned that I am actually still passionate about the military after 4 years. Sometimes, people fall out of love with their career field, so it was good to see myself still feeling the same way and promoting the Army to the next generation of soldiers.

5 Questions interview

I have to say, this assignment was very fun. For this week's task, we had to record our classmates asking and answering 5 questions of their choosing. I liked this assignment because it put me as the director over the interview and I got to choose my camera angles, questions, and got to know my classmates better through their answers.

In this assignment, I learned a lot about my classmates with how they answered the questions. It was fun to see some of the quite people come out of their shell and really interact with the interviewer. It was also fun to see the more flamboyant people answer questions because they were funny and brought high energy to the set.
